World Health Organization

Katrina Kaur – Chair
Katrina is ecstatic to be staffing WHO as she is a grad at WPGA. This is her second year of Model UN, yet she has thoroughly found a passion for it and hopes that delegates are as excited as her to be on WHO. Katrina promises to work endlessly to make this experience for delegates unforgettable. She relishes the chance to work fellow staff members, Jessica Dorfmann, Jack Bacon, Katherine Griffin, and Stephanie Tai. The staff promises that delegates will learn a lot about world issues, yet have loads of fun on booming Granville Island as well. When she’s not working hard to make VYMUN a success, Katrina enjoys photography, volunteering, and yoga.

Jessica Dorfmann – Director
Jessie was introduced to the engaging world of MUN as a diminutive grade 7 student at VYMUN 2007. Now, 4 years late, after attending far too many conferences, she is delighted to see her MUN career come full circle. Outside of MUN, Jessie is a successful debater and long distance runner. Despite her small stature, she has a passion for sports including soccer, squash, and tennis. Jessie is confident that WHO 2011 will be the greatest committee in the history of Model UN!

Jack Bacon – Assistant Director

This will be Jack’s fourth year involved in MUN, and having attended conferences in Montreal and New York he is extremely excited to be back at VYMUN and is hoping to run a smooth and successful committee that will be full of surprises… and crises.

Katherine Griffin – Assistant Director

Katherine has attended a variety of Model UNs since Grade 7, including VYMUN itself and has enjoyed them immensely. She is confident that this will be yet another successful conference, and is looking forward to seeing intriguing debate develop and new solutions emerge over the course of the weekend.

Stephanie Tai – Assistant Director

Stephanie is in her final year at WPGA and is very excited to staff this year’s VYMUN. This is her second year of participating in Model UN’s and she is looking forward to working with her fellow staffers, Katrina, Jack, Jessica, and Katherine. Stephanie is sure that this year’s WHO sessions will be both entertaining and informative, and along with the WHO staff, she hopes that everyone will enjoy it as much as they will. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoys volunteering, travelling, painting, and long walks to the fridge.
