HCC

The Historical Crisis Committee (HCC) is a continuous crisis committee which distinguishes itself from the general and specialized committees. The HCC consists of two independent “blocs” which make decisions that immediately affect the historical crisis at hand. Although the delegates already know how this crisis has ended in the past, the HCC gives delegates an opportunity to imagine themselves in the shoes of historical figures that revolutionized history and perhaps even change the course of history. Delegates must be able to balance their personal interests with the greater interests of their respective blocs.

HCC is designed primarily for intermediate and advanced delegates. Though position papers are not required, they are recommended to ensure delegates feel prepared and comfortable throughout the conference.
